Wild Clash Beginner's Guide — How to Build Your First Deck
Welcome, New Player!
Wild Clash might seem overwhelming at first — 76 cards, six stats, four rarities. But don't worry. This guide will have you building competitive decks in no time.
Understanding the Six Stats
Every card has six stats, and understanding them is key to winning:
Offensive Stats
- Bite Force (PSI) — The primary damage stat. Higher PSI = more damage per attack
- Top Speed (km/h) — Determines attack priority. Faster animals strike first
- Aggression (/100) — Affects critical hit chance and attack frequency
Defensive Stats
- Weight (kg) — Heavier animals take less knockback and are harder to defeat
- Reflex (/100) — Dodge chance and counter-attack ability
- Intelligence (IQ) — Ability to predict enemy moves and adapt strategy
Your First Deck: The Balanced Build
As a beginner, avoid specializing too early. Instead, build a balanced deck:
- Pick 1-2 heavy hitters — High bite force cards like crocodiles or big cats
- Add 1-2 speedsters — Fast animals like the Cheetah or Peregrine Falcon
- Include 1 tank — A heavy animal like an Elephant or Hippo
- Fill with versatile cards — Animals with no major weaknesses
Rarity Matters (But Not Everything)
Higher rarity cards have stat multipliers:
- Common: 1.00x
- Rare: 1.05x
- Epic: 1.10x
- Legendary: 1.18x
But a well-played Common can beat a poorly-played Legendary. Strategy > rarity.
Elemental Advantage — The Hidden Edge
Categories aren't just labels — they create a rock-paper-scissors cycle that gives a +15% stat boost:
- Land beats Air — Ground power overcomes flight
- Air beats Sea — Aerial attacks bypass water defenses
- Sea beats Land — Water pressure overwhelms land strength
When your animal has elemental advantage, ALL six stats get +15%. This is one of the biggest factors in battle — always check if you have the category edge before picking your card.
Know Your Arenas
Battles happen in one of four arenas, and the arena can decide who wins:
- Savanna — Land animals get +10% to all stats
- Ocean — Sea animals get +10% to all stats
- Sky — Air animals get +10% to all stats
- Colosseum — No bonus for anyone (neutral ground)
That +10% applies to every stat at once. A Cheetah that normally loses a weight matchup might survive in Savanna thanks to the boost. When building your deck, think about which arenas you'll face — a diverse deck covers all arenas, while a focused deck dominates one but struggles in others.
Pro tip: Elemental advantage (+15%) stacks with arena bonus (+10%). A Land animal fighting an Air opponent in Savanna gets +25% to ALL stats. That's a game-changer.
Duplicate Cards — Collect More, Hit Harder
When you get multiple copies of the same card, each extra copy adds +5% to all stats (max 10 copies = +45%). Don't discard duplicates! They make your favorite cards significantly stronger over time.
Five Key Tips
- Check elemental advantage first — Land > Air > Sea > Land. The +15% bonus often decides the winner
- Read opponent stats before choosing — Don't just pick your strongest card blindly
- Use arenas to your advantage — Pick animals that benefit from the current arena's bonus
- Collect duplicates — Each extra copy gives +5% to all stats. Max 10 copies = +45% bonus
- Extinct cards are wildcards — They don't get arena bonuses or elemental advantages, but their naturally high stats often compensate
