Extinct Cards: The Prehistoric Legends of Wild Clash
February 12, 2026By Wild Clash Team
Lost to Time, Not to Battle
One of the most unique features of Wild Clash is our Extinct card collection. These 10 prehistoric and recently-vanished species have been brought back with carefully estimated stats based on paleontological research.
The Extinct Collection
Our extinct lineup spans millions of years of Earth's history:
Dinosaur Era
- Tyrannosaurus Rex — The undisputed king of bite force, this Legendary card is one of the most powerful in the entire game
- Velociraptor — Smaller than movies suggest, but incredibly fast and intelligent for its time
Ice Age Giants
- Woolly Mammoth — A massive Land card with unmatched weight stats
- Smilodon (Saber-toothed Cat) — Speed and bite force make this a terrifying combination
Ancient Seas
- Megalodon — The largest shark that ever lived, dominating in every Sea stat
- Dunkleosteus — An armored fish with a bite that could rival the T-Rex
Recently Extinct
- Dodo — A reminder that not all extinct species were fearsome predators
- Thylacine (Tasmanian Tiger) — A unique marsupial predator, lost to us in 1936
Why Play Extinct Cards?
Extinct cards offer unique strategic advantages:
- Stat diversity — Their stats often fill gaps that living animals can't
- Surprise factor — Opponents may not know their stats well
- Rarity multipliers — Several Extinct cards are Epic or Legendary tier
- Collection prestige — They're the crown jewels of any collection
The Science Behind the Stats
Estimating stats for extinct animals is a fascinating challenge. We use:
- Fossil jaw measurements for bite force estimates
- Body proportion analysis for speed calculations
- Brain-to-body ratios for intelligence estimates
- Fossil evidence and scientific papers for weight data
While these are estimates, they represent the current scientific consensus and make for balanced, fun gameplay.
